Our Jaipuri Block Print Indigo Kantha Quilt which is prepared after several days of intensive artistic handwork by 3 different artisans, each one is expert in their own field and the product is passed from one artisan to other for handwork.

Technique :

Hand Block Printing : Hand block printing is a very old and traditional style practiced by the artisans of India in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It includes intense precision and training that is passed from one generation to another. Many wooden block of different designs and patterns are made, these blocks are then dipped in vegetable dye colors and are printed like stamps on the cloth. Different blocks for different colors are used. The outcome is a beautiful product made by artisans of India.

Kantha Work : It is stitched by thousands of  “Tiny Stitches”  all over the fabric by local Artisans of the Thar Desert region in India. Hand stitched in the Kantha style to create a stunning texture and appearance. One-of-a-kind designs emerge from afternoons shared between village women while adding lines of “running stitch” to these masterpieces. Usage : You can place in Bed room Living room or even use them for decoration in your house. The Quilt or Bedspread is reversible we can use it from both side.They are addictive in that each one is a work of art and adds to your collection. Just another dimension of Incredible India!
